July 9-10, 2011 Kathryn Abby Hanna Park in Jacksonville, FL

We visited this lovely city park on the east coast right on the beach in 2005 for GeoWoodstock!  The campground itself is not on the beach and more in a cozy lil' forest-y area with a camp store.  It's probably best for biking or driving to your destinations around the park area because unless you're into taking lengthy walks with the younger guys, it might take a while to get to where you're going!  It is a 450 acre park with beaches, a fresh water lake, a water playground with fountains, kayaking, fishing, and campsites. Playground or beach, either way, it's a family friendly park!
