Oct 25, 2011 - Feb 27, 2012 Florida Springs RV Resort & Campground

So, here we are, our 3rd location since moving into the RV full-time. We're at a privately owned Campground as Camp Hosts again. Lovely Owners, Andy & Alicia, are constantly upgrading the campground that they purchased 3 years ago! It's a campground that has short term (1 night) & long term (residents) on the premises.

A beautiful, fish filled, swimming area is in the middle of the park with paddle boats for the summer. A professional putting green is available for $1 an hour (or free for camp hosts)! Outside movies and bonfires on the weekends! There's a clubhouse, a washer & dryer, and REAL bathrooms!! The park is in the process of building a restaurant and a dog park! If you're traveling in the panhandle on I10, this is the place to stay over night or for a while!

July 25, 2011 - Oct 25, 2011 Falling Waters State Park, Chipley, FL

Ok, so we stayed for 2 weeks and then when it was time to leave, they asked us to be Camp Hosts! Our first time doing such a thing!

Falling Waters State Park is a great place for a weekend get-a-way, Camp Hosting, or for staying a while. The campground is very clean and the sites are nice and 'foresty'. You can access the hiking trail to the falls from the campground. There is a small playground in the campground and a larger one at the main entrance to the falls. There is a swimming area that is roped off. Lots of turtles and lots of tall pine trees. It is a very nice and quiet location for camping. It's Home of the Tallest Waterfall in FL, but sometimes it flows and sometimes it doesn't. Just depends on the amount of rainfall. There's a couple of geocaches here if you're into geocaching! October is full every weekend, so book in advance! Park Ranger Scott Sweeney is the BEST!
